Joe Willis was named to MLS Team of the Matchday following Nashville's 2-0 win against the Chicago Fire on Saturday, while Sam Surridge was named to MLS Team of the Matchday bench.
Last weekend, Nashville SC recorded their eleventh unbeaten match in a row, the highest in club history. With a clean sheet from goalkeeper Willis and goals from Surridge and Mukhtar, the Boys in Gold continue to dominate on the pitch match after match. The Saturday match marked Joe Willis' fifth clean sheet of the season and earned his Man of the Match honors.
Sam Surridge leads Nashville SC in goals and is tied for second in MLS with 12 so far this season. The English forward is also second in the league in goal contributions, behind Miami's Lionel Messi.
It's been an electric run for Nashville since the last time they played the Fire. Their 7-2 win on April 26 lit the match for this red hot unbeaten streak.
