For the first time in club history, Nashville SC will square off against a Premier League opponent when English side Aston Villa FC visits GEODIS Park for an international friendly on Saturday. Nashville SC striker Sam Surridge, who played in the Premier League, is tied with Lionel Messi atop the MLS Golden Boot race with 18 goals. Football Friends
Defender Andy Najar, who leads MLS in goal contributions among defenders, shares history with Aston Villa midfielders Leander Dendoncker and Youri Tielemans from their time together at Belgian side RSC Anderlecht. Najar scored against Premier League side Arsenal in the 2014 UEFA Champions League.
